Back in 2008, I gave Jared a brief prompt and he ended up writing this beautiful story! I did the pencil work and then sent the pages off to a friend so that he could complete the art. Unfortunately, cystic fibrosis took his life. (He's the reason the 2014-2016 profits from the Shatterrealm novels go toward the cystic fibrosis foundation.)

Now, in 2016, I'm finally completing the pages myself, and I'm excited to share the story with you guys!

Also so grateful to Nick J. for his awesome work on this cover!

I'm so sorry about your friend, but I think that finishing a story that he wrote is an amazing idea and a super sweet thing to do!
